Virtual Recreation Program

Thank you for participating in the City of DeBary Parks and Recreation Virtual Recreation Program! It is our goal to provide the residents of DeBary and surrounding area entertainment, teambuilding, and educational opportunities while at home during the COVID-19 pandemic. The program will allow participants to engage with the community and those participating by submitting the results of your at home activities to City staff who will post it on our Facebook page. We have also provided a Virtual Recreation Resource Center with links to resources with 100's of more at home activities for all ages.

As of now, our Virtual Recreation Program will take place throughout the month of May and lead us into our regularly scheduled Summer Camp Program. If Camp is effected by the pandemic we will expand this program throughout the summer. Please see the instructions to participate below:

  • Each day Monday-Thursday by 10am new activities will be posted for kids and families to participate.
  • Activities are indoor and outdoor games, sports, health and fitness, and arts and crafts. Some activities will be rolled out partially each day so you will have to visit the website each day to get the full activity by the end of the week.
  • While you are participating in the activities take plenty of pictures and videos!
  • Submit your pictures and videos to Recreation Manager Delaney Lehman via email to enter a raffle for a chance to win prizes!
  • SUBMISSION GUIDELINES: Each family can send in one submission to dlehman@debary.org between Thursday at 11am - Friday at 11am. Submission can be pictures, videos, or a mix of both but cannot exceed 20MB TOTAL in size. In the email include all your names and a phone number. Anything outside these guidelines cannot be accepted. Submissions will be posted and prize winners will be announced on the City of DeBary Facebook page every Friday afternoon throughout the month of May!
