DeBary trash and recycling is conducted by WastePro.

Please call WastePro at 386-788-8890 if you have any questions, including missed pickups and large item pickup.

Limit of two (2) bins per household.  Please have all bins curbside by 5:30 AM on your collection day.

Service includes one (1) weekly collection of regular trash and (1) weekly collection of  recyclable material.  Recyclable material must be placed in  Waste-Pro approved bins and carts designated for recycling purposes.  

Note: Neither the City nor WastePro provides trash bins.  WastePro only provides a recycle bin to households.

Recycling:

Residents can place all recyclable items in bins for collection.  This short video outlines what can and cannot be recycled.

Please have recycle bins curbside by 5:30 AM on your collection day.

DO NOT BAG OR WRAP RECYCLABLES.  

Allowable recyclable materials:

• All paper products including newspaper with inserts (plastic sleeves removed), mixed office paper, cardboard, telephone books, junk mail, magazines, paper bags.

• Aluminum, steel and steel/tins cans with or without labels.

• Glass bottles/jars including clear, green, brown with and without labels.

• Plastic bottles with recycle symbols. 

• Plastics including polyethylene terephthalate (PET) & high density polyethylene (HDPE) bottles.

• Phone book, junk mail, postcards, flyers & magazines.

• Corrugated or thin cardboard (flattened)

• Plastic containers with recycle symbols 1 through 5.

Hazardous Waste Disposal:

DeBary's Household Hazardous Waste Disposal Day will be held on April 13th, 2024 from 8am-12pm (16 Colomba Road). LEARN MORE.

• Volusia County is holding a Household Hazardous Waste Pickup at DeBary City Hall (16 Colomba Rd, Debary, FL 32713) on 10/14/23 from 8:00am-12:00pm. 

• You may dispose of old car tires for free on Saturdays at the Tomoka Landfill (1990 Tomoka Farms Rd, Port Orange, FL 32128) or West Volusia Transfer Station (3151 E New York Ave, DeLand, FL 32724).
