The City of Debary is seeking an experienced crew chief capable of leading the City’s Stormwater Crew. Working under the general supervision of the Public Works Superintendent, the selected individual will ensure the adequate flow of water in the City’s ditch and retention pond system.  Serving as a working supervisor, work to be performed may include minor repairs to the stormwater system, the operation of various tools and equipment to mitigate the possible effects of stormwater overflow, interaction with citizens to provide education on the City’s infrastructure and the application of various chemicals to ensure efficient operation of the stormwater system.

The minimum requirement of the position include one year of college or technical school and minimum of five (5) years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination experience and education as determined by management and Human Resources.  Preferably, the ideal candidate will have previous leadership experience as well as experience in the Maintenance of Traffic, Aquatic Spray Tech Certification, Right of Way Maintenance and experience utilizing light machinery.
