“Earning the designation this year, in light of the unique challenges youth sports programs are facing due to COVID-19, is especially significant” stated DeBary’s Parks and Recreation Director Jason Schaitz.  “The designation helps to set our programs apart and provides parents with a level of additional confidence when enrolling their children in our youth sports programs.”

The National Alliance for Youth Sports, a 501(c)(3) headquartered in West Palm Beach, FL, administratively manages the designation, which was developed around the National Standards for Youth Sports.  The Standards were originally published in 1987 and remains a guiding resource for youth sports programs.
