Planning Technician

The City of DeBary is accepting applications for a Planning Technician to provide general office and project organization to the Growth Management Department. This position provides information to the public related to zoning, development, review of land and building permits and review and processing of development applications.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in urban planning, architecture, landscape architecture or related field from an accredited college or university. An equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered for minimum requirements.

Possession of a valid Florida driver’s license or ability to obtain within four weeks of date of hire is required. Applicants selected for employment must pass a criminal background check. The hourly rate of pay for this full-time position is $15.86 to $23.80 with a competitive benefits package.  The City’s practices are to hire at the minimum of the pay grade.
