City Engineer

The City of DeBary is accepting applications for an Engineer to perform professional level work in managing the City’s engineering activities, including review and construction plan approval of development applications, and project design and construction oversight of the City’s capital improvement program projects for stormwater and transportation.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university, preferably related to the stormwater or transportation, four (4) years of post-degree engineering experience and a Professional Engineer License (PE) in the state of Florida, or the ability to obtain a PE in the State of Florida within eight (8) months of hire. Significant independent project completion experience required.

Possession of a valid Florida driver’s license or ability to obtain within four weeks of date of hire is required. Applicants selected for employment must pass a criminal background check. The salary range for this full-time exempt position is $63,791 to $95,687 with a competitive benefits package.
