Summer Camp Lead Counselor

UPDATED RATE OF PAY -- LEAD COUNSELOR $15.75 PER HOUR!!!

Do you like field trips?  How about visiting the DeBary Splash Pad at least once a week?  Do you like developing programs that are fun for a range of ages?  Then why not apply for the City of DeBary’s Summer Camp Lead Counselor position? 

Under the direct supervision of the Recreation Supervisor, you would perform work in the area of summer day camp. This would include leading, supervising and planning a variety of activities for youth. This is a highly responsible position working with youth. Dates are June 5^th through August 4^th.  Some work on the weekends may be necessary for planning or training.  

Must have a high school diploma, or equivalent, some college coursework desired in the field of Early Childhood Development or a similar field and two (2) years of experience in school, or child care setting; or an equivalent combination of related education, training and experience. Teaching certification preferred. Must be able to pass a criminal history check and Level 2 national fingerprint-based records check.
