Public Works/Stormwater Operations Manager
The City of DeBary is seeking an Operations Manager in our Public Works/Stormwater Department. Reporting directly to the Public Works Director, this mid-management level position will be responsible for oversight of the of the Public Works Right-of-Way and Stormwater divisions. This is a field supervisor position tasked with planning, organizing and managing people and projects.
The selected individual will oversee the City of DeBary Public Works Right-of-Way consisting of 166 acres of retention ponds, 50 miles of right-of-way and 105 miles of City roadway as well as the Stormwater System consisting of:
58.4 miles of culverts 2.8 miles of under drain
27.9 miles of open channel 9.7 miles of force main
4.1 miles of dry line 1084 curb inlets
818 ditch bottom inlets 232 grate top inlets
254 mitered end sections 201 headwalls
107 pipe ends 100 control structures
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field and three (3) years of relevant experience. Previous experience in stormwater maintenance and inspection is highly desired. Excellent benefits are provided. Minimum salary is $62,387 and is dependent upon experience.
