The City of DeBary is accepting applications for a Neighborhood Improvement Officer in the Growth Management Department.  The position will perform a variety of tasks related to upholding the City of DeBary’s codes and ordinances.   Duties that may be performed include inspections of properties and structures, responding to calls regarding potential code violations, preparation of code cases for hearings and related activities.

The ideal candidate will have an Associates’ Degree or equivalent or a minimum of one year of code enforcement experience.  FACE Level I certification is preferred, or the ability to begin training within six (6) months. Possession of a valid Florida driver license with an acceptable driving record is also required. Applicants selected for employment must pass a criminal background check and drug screen. The hourly pay range for this non-exempt full-time position is $15.86 to $23.80 per hour with a competitive benefit package. The complete job description is available at www.debary.org.
