Maintenance Worker I or II – PUBLIC WORKS

The City of DeBary is accepting applications for a Maintenance Worker in the Public Works Department.  Employees in the Right-of-Way Division perform a variety of tasks and duties including mowing, trimming, cutting brush, chemical application, refuse removal, and general grounds keeping.  Employees in the Stormwater Division assist in the maintenance and inspection of the Stormwater system, responsible for the movement of water through the City .

MAINTENANCE WORKER I:  Minimum qualification requirements are a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of six (6) months of directly related experience in general labor using appropriate tools and/or equipment. Background in stormwater construction or repairs preferred.  The hourly pay range for this non-exempt full-time position is $16.64 to $17.44.

MAINTENANCE WORKER II:  Possession of Maintenance of Traffic Certification and Stormwater I & II Certification Applicants and one (1) year related experience. The hourly pay range for this non-exempt full-time position is $18.15 - $19.95.
