Business Development Specialist

The City of DeBary is on the cusp of some great things!  With exciting leadership in place, City leaders are embarking on a two-pronged effort of correcting long-standing issues while simultaneously creating innovative concepts incorporating our unique assets: A historic river front city with the only Sun Rail stop in Volusia County, straddling Volusia and Seminole Counties. Our demographics, moderate tax climate, and low crime rate all contribute to making DeBary a great place for business. Our focus now is in developing DeBary’s “main street.”  We are looking for an Business Development Specialist who will concentrate on building and maintaining relationships with our current businesses, and marketing DeBary in order to attract new business.  Under the supervision of the Economic Development, Communications & Government Affairs Director, we are seeking a person to creatively promote and develop programs to enhance business retention, expansion and attraction. This position is expected to independently serve as a liaison to the business community.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Urban Planning or related field as well as three (3) years of relatable experience.  Previous experience in real estate, marketing or business relations is desired. Minimum salary is $55,000 but is negotiable depending upon experience.
