Summary/Highlights

Several of the City's flood mitigation improvement projects have permit requirements that require quarterly water quality monitoring. The monitoring program was discontinued in 2009 due to budgetary constraints.

Background Discussion

The SJRWMD has issued compliance violations which can be resolved by resuming the quarterly Lake Monitoring Program. Because the approved permits provide the City with a perpetual authorization for operating the system, the quarterly Lake Monitoring Program will have to be continued indefinitely.

Recommended Motion

Approve proposal submitted by Pegasus Engineering Task Order 2015-11, in the amount of $43,001-98 per year for Quarterly Lake Monitoring of the 15 lakes and other water bodies summarized in the attached table.
